Coles Books, Bicester

A Bicester Gem

When I was a teenager I would go to Coles Books to order DVD Boxsets of Stargate SG-1 (long before the likes of Amazon or streaming platforms) and they would always have a varied selection of books and associated products.

It seems Coles Books has always been more than a bookshop and has a knack for continuously reinventing itself to stay relevant and remain high quality. When I first walked through their doors (opposite where it is now) it seemed compact but well thought out. Now it has more of a sprawling feel and boasts an entire first floor – the Gallery – which is dedicated to art, music and signed copies of books.

I ordered a signed book from the store online as it wasn’t available anywhere else. It was fairly priced and it was delivered promptly in absolutely mint condition. The team are also great at responding to emails promptly. Thank you for such a great service, will be buying from you again.

I love the books here but they need to print mire copy’s when they release
I am a real book worm and it is a great place to go and absorb the books and the atmosphere, they have books of all genre and if you cannot find what you want they will order for you, which I have done and got them next day. If you look books as much as I do then this is the place for you, go see for your self, it is something special for everyone, they also sell puzzles, games, book marks, playing cards and items associated with certain books, they have book sales, it is a great place for everyone young and old, go see for yourself and have fun.

Like a lot of the reviews I’ve read, I ordered a signed hardback I couldn’t find anywhere else and it arrived quickly and in brilliant condition!! The packaging was really nice and there wasnt a scuff on the book, a shame I don’t live nearby otherwise I’d go here often.

Bought a book online from here when I couldn’t find the hardback copy I wanted anywhere else. I was worried about how long it would take to ship and if the order would arrived as I wasn’t familiar with the shop, but it came packaged so beautifully and with so much care. The book arrived in perfect condition and it is the exact version I wanted! I’m so happy to see (and buy from) a shop that clearly cares so much about what they sell and customer experience 🙂
